Rene and Em – Our Little Piece of Paradise
My husband and I knew when we stepped on our lot in Vista Pacifica that we had found our little piece of paradise. With 180 degree views of the Pacific, we could just imagine spending our retirement lounging on a deck with the year long mild climate and cool breezes that never seem to stop. Standing on the vacant lot, we could truly see Larry’s vision of a luxury development and knew at that moment that we wanted to be a part of Vista Pacifica. The trip to Ecuador let us see first hand what is coming to this coastal paradise …. new roads, bridges and airports … assuring us that this was at least, an investment opportunity we could not pass up and at best, a place we will spend many months during our retirement. Thanks Larry for the opportunity!” Rene & Em – Tampa, FL
Patti and Rowly – Our Dream Home
Hola, After years of travelling and exploring the Caribbean, Central and South America for our future retirement dream home location, we found paradise in Tasaste, Manabi, Ecuador under the development of Larry Pioli and Vista Pacifica!
Our goal from the start was a retirement location that was constantly warm, friendly, safe with a low cost of living with great views of the Pacific Ocean AND above all….. a little off the beaten path from major cities!!!! VISTA PACIFICA is just that!
On our trip to Ecuador last year, we met Larry Pioli and he introduced us to his dream and vision of a secure, well built community. What impressed us was his down to earth, no pressure, sales tactics. He seemed very fair and open to new suggestions.
We enjoyed the 20 oz Pilsner beers and fresh fish, shrimp and prawn cooked up by the locals in the fishing villages. We found the locals friendly as they helped us with our ‘Spanglish’. The long walks along the beautiful beaches were soothing and relaxing.
Here’s to Larry and his team building to USA standards/specifications and to all of us who choose Ecuador to spend at least our winter months there to start. We encourage you to visit and check out the views and the visions of VISTA PACIFICA before they are all gone! .

Kathy and Tom- Beginning of a New Life
Many people do not have the opportunity to choose where they want to live. Some people might have the option to move but don’t for reasons of fear, uncertainty, or perhaps lack of adventure. Moving to a third world country could certainly be scary. There is much unknown and unfamiliar territory to tackle. However, Tom and I have chosen to take this adventure together, much like our American pioneers, to begin a new life in beautiful Ecuador.
After touring the lush surroundings of Vista Pacifica we were renewed with a youthful spirit. The secluded sandy beach was soothing to the soul and the amazing sunsets seemed to last for hours. From our lot we will experience a vast view of the Pacific Ocean as well as the green mountain foliage.
Larry and Eileen were adamant about exposing as much of Ecuador as possible during our visit. While much of the country is primitive, the larger cities offer everything normally found in America. We tasted Ecuador’s finest fruit; some were familiar and others we had never seen before. Seafood was at our fingertips and fresh vegetables were in abundance. We shopped among the locals in the market at Otavalo and found a huge assortment of fine leather products in Cotacachi. Tom’s favorite find was the coco helado, coconut ice cream! Yes, after much research, we are looking forward to our new beginning at Vista Pacifica. It was an easy decision since it was the only place that actually exceeded our expectations. We have already named our special place, Cuesta Arriba… “uphill”….and there we will live on top of the world!
We arrived a day earlier than the rest of our group for our trip to visit Vista Pacifica, on the coast of Ecuador. The next day Larry and Eileen (developer of Vista Pacifica) toured us around Quito visiting the old part of the city and we were lucky enough to see the changing of the guard at the presidential palace. Loved it and we felt very comfortable. The trip to Otavalo’s indigenous market, Cotacachi and Ibarra Saturday was quite an experience, again, warm and friendly people, fabulous weather, ( I like shopping) so what can I say. Larry and Eileen were very helpful in the market getting us good prices on some of our purchases. Lunch in Cotacachi, great food, very clean city, almost quaint. All in all a great day and everyone in the group had a great time. The drive to the coast the next day through and over the mountains was spectacular, even though looking down at times was quite scary ( not fond of heights ). Scenery is amazing, Larry Pioli pointing out points of interest along the way. Finally we arrived on the coast to stay at Punta Blanca, our home while visiting Vista Pacifica. The hotel and owners were warm and welcoming, the hotel overlooks the Pacific with wonderful views. Kudos to our driver Gabriel. ( not sure how to spell it ) Now for Vista Pacifica or VP as everyone was calling it. The views and scenery were superb, unfortunately the weather (it is rainy season) was not co-operative when we first arrived. Although I did not go to far, Larry, my husband did, he took photographs and was very impressed with the views of the Pacific Ocean and the surrounding mountain and valley area. Vista Pacifica looked just like the photos on the web site, although photos do not do VP justice. It’s much better in person. The wonderful Pacific Ocean views are what sets the stage for this great development. VP is extremely relaxing and the one word I think describes it aptly is… SERENE. A wonderful place for a permanent or second home, and I recommend it highly. Larry Pioli has my email address, if you want a personal recommendation just ask.

Exactly one year ago my husband and I discovered Bahia through a friend of ours who had retired and moved to Ecuador.
We were taken by his passion for the country and the people and the fact that he had retired in a foreign country!
So we visited.
There was no argument, this was the place for us as well and so we started our search for property in Bahia not understanding, at all, the complexities of real estate (coming from Canada).
Well…..after word got around that we were looking for property everyone in Bahia became a realtor and there was always more than one price for the property one happened to be looking at. After 2 weeks of total frustration we came home with little hope of purchasing something given the many miles between Ecuador and Canada and no one person to legitimately rely on.
And then, I can’t even remember how, I came across Larry and he was a god send to us! Larry, along with his wife Eileen, tirelessly looked for “just the right” property for us and here we are, one year later, very proudly I must say, owners of a beautiful condo with a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean!

We were looking for property in a pristine part of Ecuador, when we heard about Larry and his Vista Pacifica project. Upon meeting him, Larry devoted much time to listening to our needs, informing us about local norms and showing us around. We instinctively took a liking to him due to his unabashed honesty and infectious enthusiasm for the country and the VP project. As we were looking to invest in a smaller (and possibly riskier) country, we couldn’t have met a more perfect person to guide us, and especially in which to place our trust. We are so very glad for our little piece of paradise, and for having Larry and his family as our future neighbours. Thanks Vista Pacifica family!!

We just want to thank Larry Pioli for his vision, wisdom and passion in seeing what Ecuador in general, and Vista Pacifica specifically, can be and will become. When on our first visit to Ecuador a couple of years ago, we met Larry who was warm and friendly and who’s excitement about the Vista Pacifica project was obvious.
We appreciated his way of doing business. Very upbeat, informative and not pushy in any way. He explained his research he was doing after having seen some major omissions and mistakes at other properties being offered. Larry had gone so far as to doing seismic testing to insure the land was stable. He had studied rain water washout and designed drainage systems to direct storm water away from Vista Pacifica. We saw how he had taken and studied various pieces of hardware and building materials as they became weathered by the salt air to see which would be suitable for building his homes and condos.
This type of planning and foresight is the kind of thing we know would find in every aspect of Vista Pacifica and what made us feel more comfortable and secure in purchasing here rather than in another location that may have been a little cheaper. We viewed the properties and almost immediately found our little piece of land overlooking the Pacific. We are excited to be a part of what we believe will be an upscale and well run community in a most beautiful country with warm and welcoming Ecuadorians and Expats alike.
Thanks again Larry…We appreciate you very much!
Larry Pioli of Vista Pacific is one of the finest business professionals I have ever been associated with. When I moved to Ecuador in 2012, he was always there for me. Handled my purchase at his development, Vista Pacifica and the recording of the Escritura/Deed with the upmost speed.
I knew of many others that bought through others and were having great difficulty. My lot has the most beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean right next to a lovely green area. Underground electric and water are already installed and Larry has already assisted me with the design of my home.
Larry is the property developer and can assist and direct you with investments. I highly recommend Larry if you want the best!

Larry went so far as to drive to Manta the morning our flight left… We really appreciated all of the hospitality and kindness. The trip ended up to be a life changing experience and we fell in love with Ecuador and the people there. We just booked a return trip and I can’t wait to get back to where we will call home in a few years and have Larry as a neighbor in Vista Pacifica.
I recently had the opportunity to visit with Larry Pioli and his partner, Ana, and see for myself what all the Vista Pacifica excitement was about. It was a memorable experience. The location (along with their “First-Class” hospitality) was breathtaking. Nestled in and above the sleepy little town of Tastaste is an amazingly diverse terrain – pristine groves of trees and rocky promontories – with broad, unobstructed views to the Pacific Ocean beyond. It is easy to see why Larry chose this site for his wonderful vision. A couple multi-family units are constructed and occupied, and show promise of the exclusive development to come. The most dramatic building sites remain. This whole area of Ecuador seems poised for a change to modernization. Larry has acquired an unspoiled part of this Paradise-in-Transition. I can’t wait to see how it all turns out.
P.S. While there, I was treated with first-class sleeping accommodations in their Guest Suite, as well as an exclusive, night time tour of the surrounding country side. Additionally, I was introduced to many of their haunts in Jama and Pedernales, and found the phrase “Yo quero Churros” as an effective Spanish conversational “ice-breaker” in meeting with the “Locals”.

We started looking for property in South America with the idea of building a house and relocating there in the near future. We found a land development called Vista Pacifica located in Ecuador on Craigs List with several pictures of the area which looked beautiful. What initially drew our attention was that the price of the land was considerably less than other properties we had viewed in Ecuador – we imagined that it couldn’t be that good for that price – it had to be out in the boonies and not be very desirable.
We were very skittish about purchasing property that is located out of our country. Roger decided to make a trip to see if this property had any merit and to meet the developer of Vista Pacifica, Larry Pioli.
We are so glad he made the trip. The land is spectacular, and worthy of investing. It is very close to health care, grocery shopping, recreation and all the essentials. The mountains make it a stunning retreat.
The area is beautiful, Vista Pacifica is priced great, and the developer is an absolute gem! He has made the details of our sizable investment in his development worry free. Roger and I consider him to be a consummate business man!
We purchased 28 acres, and I am here to tell you that you can invest with Vista Pacifica and not worry for even one second that you are going to be ripped off or disappointed in any way.
Larry Pioli is always available to explain any process relating to real estate investing, relocating and even applying for citizenship. They are both a wealth of information. He and his partner, Ana, are also helping us resolve an Ecuadorian land transaction from another developer that was riddled with errors. Larry is so conscientious with the real estate transactions that he conducts to make absolutely certain they are completed without any error. They are creative thinkers, excellent problem solvers, very well connected and a delight to get to know.
